
The price of gasoline in Mexico varies significantly depending on the region. According to data provided by Nacional Gasolinero, diesel is sold at 26.99 pesos per liter. The most economical place to acquire diesel is the gas station in Xochimilco, where it sells for 23.99 pesos per liter, while the most expensive site is located in Miguel Hidalgo, where it is sold at 27.09 pesos per liter.
The Federal Prosecutor's Office for Consumer Defense (Profeco) recommends that consumers report excessive gasoline prices to the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE). A complaint can be filed through the Profeco website or by calling a specific phone number. Despite the decrease in international oil prices, gasoline prices in Mexico remain high and should not exceed certain established caps.
Nacional Gasolinero revealed that the average cost of Magna gasoline is 24.25 pesos per liter, Premium is at 25.72, and diesel is at 26.16 pesos per liter. Regarding the lowest regional prices, León, Toluca, Ciudad Victoria, Villahermosa, Colima, Tlaxcala, and Campeche stand out, with prices ranging between 21.89 and 24.39 pesos per liter.
In Mexico City, the average gasoline prices are as follows: Magna is sold at 24.30 pesos per liter, Premium at 26.01, and diesel at 25.85. The most accessible gas station to acquire Magna gasoline is located in Xochimilco at 22.49 pesos per liter, while the most expensive is in La Magdalena Contreras at 23.49 pesos per liter.
